Postion Summary
The role of the Distribution Manager is to manage and maintain the contract relationships and day-to-day activities between New Era and its 3PL distribution network to ensure on time order execution and world class order management operations that best reflect New Era’s Brand and product to our valued customers. The location of this position is in Carlisle-Harrisburg, PA area (North American distribution center) with travel to headquarters in Buffalo, NY.
Responsibilities
Manage the relationship and act as the primary liaison between New Era and it’s 3PL distribution centers
Develop and maintain labor and productivity dashboard and KPI files; interpret and analyze distribution related metrics
Oversee daily/monthly KPIs that are not in compliance and proactively ensure corrective actions are put in place
Pursue and propose opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiencies in the warehouses
Manage daily order flow into the DC and work with NEC to manage any exceptions
Work with the DC on inbound/outbound shipping processes, manage priority lists and reporting functions
Manage and develop forecast plans for inbound and outbound workflows
Work with leadership to develop capacity plans and staffing projections
Responsible for customer chargeback review and developing corrective action plans
Manage activities and staffing levels around peak shipping periods related to major sporting events, including MLB, NFL, and NBA championships
Work with Quality Control on audits and process follow-ups as needed
Support leadership in developing and analyzing current state and future inventory positions
Collaborate with other internal departments, including Logistics, Customer Relations, and Planning to support distribution processes
Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook,
Working knowledge of SAP or Warehouse Management Systems a plus
Strong ability to multitask
Good/quick decision-making ability related to daily operations
Ability to collaborate and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Must be organized, possess excellent time management skills, as well as ability to follow through
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to exercise listening skills
Requires problem solving ability and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to provide strong customer service
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field required. Additional experience with be considered in lieu of degree.
Five (5) to (7) years of experience in Distribution Management that includes the management of contract distribution operations required[MS3].
Experience with multiple sites, automation, green/brown field and start-up
APICS certification a plus
Travel Requirement
15 to 20% (Domestic – Buffalo, NY)

The salary range for this posted position is $70,000 - $90,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Pennsylvania. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
