DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, your responsibilities will include performing repairs, maintenance, and servicing on a variety of vehicles and equipment, such as cars, trucks, tractors, and construction machinery. Replacement of parts like shock absorbers, transmissions, clutches, and brakes will be required, along with diagnostics, tune-ups, and tire changes, as well as repairs and replacements of components like engines, cooling systems, and electrical parts. Specialization in diesel equipment repair involves servicing filters, water pumps, gaskets, and electrical systems, excluding diesel engine fuel injection systems. Your role also involves reporting missing or damaged equipment, maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repairs, performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and proper servicing. Independent identification of equipment issues using diagnostic tools and procedures is necessary to determine repair methods, tools, and parts needed. Maintenance and repair of motorized hand equipment like chain saws, compressors, jack hammers, and trimmers are also part of the job, with reporting of any missing parts or damaged equipment. Keeping the work area clean and safe, following safety protocols, using protective gear, recognizing work area hazards, and taking proactive measures to prevent accidents and injuries are essential aspects of the role. Prompt reporting of any personal injuries and seeking appropriate treatment is required. Ensuring that repairs are compliant with regulations and standards, making adjustments in the field to reduce equipment downtime, is also a key responsibility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirements: This position requires employees to hold a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license for operation of specific equipment, in order to meet operational needs. This position requires employees to hold a Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic Certificate. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
