What you’ll do:

• Apply research and principles of engineering to the planning, design, development, documentation, and testing/debugging of a variety of instruments, equipment and systems.

• Support capital and non-capital projects to meet general business objectives of product quality, manufactured cost reduction, product delivery, capacity growth, and productivity improvement.

• Design and execute experiments to solve problems related to improving or developing new processes using creative and innovative concepts.

• Design process, converting and test equipment for the use in media and membrane manufacturing.

• Generate and maintain detailed budgets and timelines, which includes all pertinent information related to specific projects.

  Who you are:

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, engineering technology, or other engineering subject, or technically equivalent field experience.

• 5 plus years of experience in mechanical design, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and/or R&D.

• Have a good knowledge in the converting and or process industry with a strong background in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering

• Experienced in AutoCAD

• Have a knowledge of manufacturing processes and their direct impact on the final product as well as the associated business influences

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Supervising contractors (plumbers, electricians, etc) and coordinating mechanical assemblies.

• SPC, Design of Experiments (DOE), Measurement Systems Analysis, and statistical hypothesis testing.

• Product and process validation methods, and risk assessment and risk mitigation techniques.
