Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities Intervention Specialist Substitute in Canton, Ohio
Job Descriptions:
Plans and Provides services and instruction to children, fills in when Intervention Specialist is unavailable to work.
To replace and substitute for Intervention Specialist when absent.
Demonstrates knowledge of content and teaching methods.
Completes a daily report to leave for absent intervention specialist.
Completes daily records and logs associated with particular students.
Implements classroom management procedures, strategies and techniques
Creates an environment of respect and rapport
Establishes a culture of learning
Follows the standards set by the intervention specialist in regards to clear and consistent standards of classroom behavior.
Provides instructional experiences for assigned children in cooperation with assistant and support staff
Communicates clearly and accurately
Uses questions and interactive techniques
Engages all students in learning
Provides feedback to students
Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness
Continues professional enhancement
Participates in required in-services
Required Experience:

Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist or other applicable Teaching license, mild to moderate; moderate to intensive preferred; valid substitute license as required by the Ohio Department of Education.
Valid Driver’s License may be required.
