This position is for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with a company located in Canton, MS.
Summary: ProgressiveHealth is thrilled to announce an opening for a proactive and driven EMT to provide onsite response to emergency needs and care for employees at a large manufacturing facility in Canton, MS.
Duties & Responsibilities include: Identifies and responds to medical emergencies according to on-site protocols. Communicates and documents medical situations as per company policies. Assists with miscellaneous calls and initiates incident reports. Inspects and maintains EMS equipment, reporting any issues. Manages inventory to ensure adequate supplies. Conducts checks on site-wide medical equipment. Monitors safety and reports issues to the Environment, Health, & Safety (EH) team. Provides follow-up care for injuries within scope. Conducts drug screens and surveillances as required. Assists medical clinic staff as needed. Maintains medical records securely.

Requirements & Qualifications include: The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure prior to the start of employment. CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s) prior to the start of employment. The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift. A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision. Be able to maintain confidentiality. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
