Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Canton, Michigan

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our team based in Canton, Michigan. This role involves extensive interaction with a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on assisting with financial aid processes in a technical school setting. The role demands the application of various skills including customer service, data entry, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students and parents with the completion of the FAFSA application

• Collect and manage required financial paperwork from students and parents

• Communicate effectively with both internal and external partners, clients, and customers

• Utilize multiple computer systems, applications, and search tools to find and manage information

• Deliver personalized, quality service in every interaction, striving to exceed customer expectations

• Solve problems proactively, listening for customer cues and resolving issues with grace and integrity

• Handle both inbound and outbound calls, demonstrating excellent verbal communication skills

• Perform data entry tasks and schedule appointments efficiently

• Engage effectively with both internal and external partners and clients/customers

• Exhibit foundational knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other computer applications. Requirements • Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment

• Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service

• Proficiency in data entry tasks and order entry procedures

• Proficient in managing email correspondence professionally and effectively

• Ability to schedule appointments accurately and efficiently

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Prior experience in a customer service representative role will be advantageous

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Ability to learn new software and systems quickly

• Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, and on holidays if required

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
