Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) related to food contact packaging and aligned to any FDA requirements.

  • Follow in-process inspection procedures and complete all in-process inspection sheets

  • Perform first piece inspection and in-process audits (inspections) throughout manufacturing

  • Work closely with team members to quickly resolve any quality issues that may arise at incoming, in-process, and out-going locations

  • Evaluate internal products and materials, providing evaluation results and documentation to necessary personnel as needed

  • Review, follow-up on control documents and make sure documents are complete

  • Collect samples

  • Update QA procedures as needed

  • Participate in audits

  • Maintain Sanitation, HACCP, SQF standards

  • Monitor product sequence to verify that correct product is being run and file completed reports

  • Attend training classes/seminars as needed to increase knowledge base-Sanitation, HACCP, SQF

  • Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures to ensure products meet all applicable customer, regulatory and industry standards

  • Identify, report and resolve nonconforming issues

  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards

  • Ability to use micrometers and calipers

  • Knowledge of first piece, in-process and final inspection

  • Previous ISO/GMP and in process testing experience

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • manual lifting up to 35lbs

  • standing for 5 hours at one time
