Robert Half Staff Accountant in Canoga Park, California

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry located in Canoga Park, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities including managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable (AP) process.

• Handle all aspects of accounts receivable (AR) function, ensuring accurate and timely management.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.

• Maintain the general ledger, verifying its accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

• Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks and reporting.

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

• Coordinate and complete annual audits. Requirements • Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Proficient in software programs such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, general ledger operations, and journal entries.

• Must be able to handle month-end close procedures.

• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country.
