1st Shift - Industrial Maintenance Technician - $26/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in both mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in troubleshooting up to 480 volts and working with PLCs, VFDs, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and more.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of industrial equipment and machinery

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery

• Communicate with maintenance manager and operations manager

• Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 volts

• Install, replace, and maintain VFDs

• Install and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Interpret blueprints and schematics

• Perform welding, brazing, and burning operations

• Install conduit, fittings, switches, relays, controls, fixtures, motors, equipment, and wiring as required

• Install, swap out, replace, and wire 3-phase motors

• Work with valves, bearings, and gearboxes

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks

• Repair conveyors and spray booths

Qualifications

• Industrial Maintenance Schooling

• Blueprint reading

• Mechanical skills with bearings, rollers, and hydraulics

• Electrical skills with 3-phase/480V systems

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems

Work Environment

This is a first shift position from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime as required. You may need to cover third shift as needed. The facility is a mix of new and old equipment, including conveyor systems and spray booths. This union environment has around 28 employees on the production floor and 5 in maintenance. The facility has been operating since the 1950s and prides itself on trust and communication with employees. Safety is a top priority, and the company serves the consumer, construction, and automotive industries.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.23 - $25.23
