The Role

The ILS Support Specialist role will support the Information Assurance (IA) team located in Canberra and provide a wide range of ILS upport capabilities. The ILS Support Specialist shall provide aspects of ILS planning, development and contract execution within the Project environment from the requirements determination stage through to capability delivery and planning for transition of support responsibility.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to:

  • Apply Through Life Support and Sustainment Management expertise in supporting a major Defence capability

  • Assist with undertaking Logistic Support and Maintenance Engineering Analysis to establish future documentation and plans to support the capability

  • Assist with undertaking analysis such as Fault Tree (FTA), Failure Mode Effect (FMEA/FMECA), Level of Repair (LORA), Spares, Training Needs (TNA) and Life Cycle Cost Modelling

  • Develop Maintenance Plans and Corrective and Planned Maintenance Instructions to support all levels of maintenance (Organisational, Intermediate, Depot)

  • Assist with establishing an LCC, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability reporting environment to monitor and report on ILS program achievement for the capability utilising existing stakeholder reporting modes

  • Assist with preparing reports on performance of the ILS program for management consideration and task performance including conduct of Root Cause Analysis

Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Current NV1 (mandatory)

  • Australian Citizenship (mandatory)

  • Min 8 years ILS experience in a Defence environment;

  • Demonstrated experience with Introduction Into Service of new equipment

  • Experience with MILIS data entry and management;

  • Demonstrated experience with codification, Inventory management, warehousing or cataloguing
