Robert Half Technical Engineer in Canastota, New York

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Technical Engineer in Canastota, New York. This role involves drafting and modeling of piping systems using various software tools. The successful candidate will be orchestrating with various stakeholders, managing project deadlines, and ensuring the smooth operation of material logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and modeling of piping systems for chilled water, steam, condensate, and containment system layouts.

• Utilizing software tools such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or SolidWorks for drafting purposes.

• Creating and modifying existing drawings and models as per project requirements.

• Coordinating and communicating with clients, project managers, and production staff to ensure project success.

• Ensuring that all drawings meet project and tender deadlines.

• Overseeing material logistics, which may include material take-offs and ordering of materials.

• Distributing drawings to appropriate personnel for further processing.

• Working independently on challenging projects that may have tight timelines.

• Utilizing skills in AutoCAD and Piping for effective project execution. Requirements • Exceptional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD software.

• Proficiency in piping design and related technical engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Technical Engineer or similar role within the industry.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.

• Commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.

• Ability to handle pressure and solve problems in real time.
