Thompson Health Special Procedures Technologist - Interventional Radiology , Per Diem in Canandaigua, New York

Per Diem opportunity.

What would you do?

  • Provides high quality Radiographic Images with a minimum of supervision.

  • Assists the Radiologist with interventional procedures.

  • Coordinates these services within and outside the Health System to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our Customers.

Requirements:

  • Completion of two year AMA-approved school of radiographic technology,

  • Have a current valid NYS License and American Registry of Radiological Technology Registry (RT).

  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.

  • The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and to the care of the patient.

  • Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to patients and staff of the health system. Actively supports hospital goals and imperatives

  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of NYSDOH and JCAHO regulations for established radiation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • American Registry Radiological Technologist (R)

  • New York State Radiological Technology license

Education:

  • A.A.S. degree required.

  • Satisfactory completion of formal ARRT recognized radiology program.

  • Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire.

Experience:

  • 3 years Radiology experience required

  • 1 year of Interventional experience preferred

Pay Range: $38.50 - $49.50
