Job Description

AbbVie is searching for a Digital Innovation Engineer in Campoverde site to join the Digital Strategy Team, with following responsibilities.

Job Core Responsibilities GMP

• Lead and coordinate projects that foster innovation, automation and digital transformation enablement in Manufacturing site. Identify, evaluate, implement new application technologies, and improve existing technologies to enhance performance and efficiency.

• Design and develop custom built applications for business performance. Support the configuration and implementation of dedicated tools (i.e.: Smart Factory RX, Pomsnet, SAP, Checklyst)

• Collaborate with the leadership team to map and re-design current processes into new digital scenarios. Identify actionable business insights and provide recommendations for optimization to drive continuous improvement.

• Collect, organize, and input relevant data.

• Perform the training activities assigned to them in the company's Compliance Wire computer system.

Job Core Responsibilities EHS

Ensure responsibility and commitment towards achieving continuous improvement objectives of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and Energy performance, as well as maintaining legal compliance through active participation in Abbvie's EHS programs.

Description of Responsibilities GMP

• Lead and coordinate projects that foster innovation, automation and digital transformation enablement in Manufacturing site. Identify, evaluate, implement new application technologies, and improve existing technologies to enhance performance and efficiency.

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of current processes (in production, scheduling, material handling, workforce, EHS) and identify areas for innovation and improvement.

• Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and software solutions and determine their impact on performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Ensure deep understanding of process manufacturing and the ability to identify areas where innovation and digital enablement can drive improvements.

• Guarantee innovative approach

• Design and develop custom built applications for business performance. Support the configuration and implementation of dedicated tools (i.e.: Smart Factory RX, Pomsnet, SAP, Checklyst)

• Develop (from zero to use) and implement custom applications, process automation, digital algorithms to specific Site required application.

• Manage E2E lifecycle of custom-built applications.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.

• Ensure smooth integration of predictive software tools (machine learning models) and platforms with existing systems.

• Collaborate with the leadership team to map and re-design current processes into new digital scenarios. Identify actionable business insights and provide recommendations for optimization to drive continuous improvement.

• Work with manufacturing technical team to gather requirements, define project objectives, and identify areas where predictive software can be utilized to improve processes.

• • Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving issues by analyzing data trend and implement correction on model and built application.

• Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management.

• Train and educate manufacturing personnel on the effective use of application developed &/or software tools and provide ongoing support and guidance.

• Track and report on project progress, including milestones achieved, resource utilization, and project outcomes.

• Collect, organize, and input relevant data:

• Develop and implement predictive models or algorithms to forecast product quality, equipment performance, and production outcomes. Analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the manufacturing process.

• Develop in-house solution for specific applications to analyze data to identify process improvements and areas for optimization.

• Participate in company training activities within the times established by the Manager; independently complete training activities assigned in the company's Compliance Wire computer system, ensuring that they are completed no later than the date set by the system (Due Date).

Description of responsibilities EHS The role is considered a "Worker" according to Legislative Decree 81/08 "Protection of Health and Safety of Workers in the Workplace" and the activity consists of:

• Follow the current company EHS policy.

• Adhering to all EHS rules and procedures in force in the department.

• Promptly reporting all EHS incidents and/or "near misses" (actions and conditions of unsafe situations) to Manager.

• Participating in all mandatory EHS training courses and medical surveillance programs.

• Wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Presenting any proposal that offers opportunities for EHS program improvement.

• Working in compliance with safety and environment rules means adhering to the spirit of EHS policy protecting your own health and the health of the other people in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, (Automation, Mechanical, Chemical). PhD Preferred

• Previous experiences in manufacturing site and operation roles. Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing. API and OSD Manufacturing Process and technologies are preferred.

• Knowledge of English (B2 level or above)

• GMP Knowledge

• Experienced in PowerApp, PowerBI, PowerAutomate as well as common programming languages: C, Python, SQL.

• Experienced in Machine Learning and AI model. Knowledge and expertise in GenerativeAI.

• Master knowledge of main IT software
