U.S. Marine Corps SUPERVISORY PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER in Camp Pendleton, California

Summary SUPERVISORY PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER in the AC/S, SECURITY & EMERGENCY SERVICES of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON. Responsibilities You will provide immediate oversight and direction of operations joint Emergency Communications Center (JECC) and supervise Public Safety Dispatchers. You will coordinate and oversee the daily activities of the section with other Departments of Public Safety to include the Fire Department, emergency Medical Services, Military Police and other Public Safety Divisions and units aboard Camp Pendleton. You will be responsible for ensuring that the E911 systems, radios, telephones and alarm monitors, radio and telephone recording equipment and all other related communication equipment are in proper working order. You will be responsible for overseeing the training of new employees in call-taking and radio operations and monitor calls where Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Pre-Arrival Instructions (PAI's) are given to ensure that protocols are being followed. You will maintain reports and retrieve statistical data using the local Incident Reporting System. You will operate a highly sophisticated console of automatic ring-down lines to all Fire Stations and entry/exit gates aboard the Base. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Guiding and assisting with the management of dispatching processes (e.g. police, firefighting, emergency, medical etc.) and making recommendations regarding alarm responses and emergency dispatching.
