U.S. Marine Corps SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER (PARAMEDIC) in Camp Pendleton, California
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER (PARAMEDIC) in the FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the oversight of the departments Emergency Medical Service Program. You will periodically respond to emergency incidents to observe basic and advanced life support patient care, and personally conduct special inspections and investigations. You will be required to direct the Fire and Emergency Services operations as the incident Commander during major emergency incidents of fire and hazardous material alarms. You will coordinate emergency medical services (EMS) related training activities for EMS personnel. You will prepare budget submissions for operation and maintenance of a training program. You will complete written reports and records on emergency services incidents, patients, drugs administered equipment, or supplies used. You will assume the roles and responsibilities of a Division Chief of Operations in their absences. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provides input on the development of standard operating procedures pertaining to Emergency Medical Service (EMS) programs; Provides guidance on Emergency Medical Service (EMS) program procedures and requirements; and Applies fire department administration and emergency operations to ensure EMS delivery is in compliance with applicable regulations.
