A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to handle all aspects of their payables process. This position is essential in ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner to maintain the company’s strong supplier relationships. If you have experience working in a manufacturing environment and have strong AP expertise, this role could be a great fit!

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and prepare invoices for payment in compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Process full-cycle accounts payable, including matching, batching, and coding invoices to appropriate GL accounts.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal departments.

• Manage weekly and monthly payment runs via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

• Assist with the month-end close process, including AP accruals and journal entries.

• Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and 1099 reporting compliance.

• Respond promptly to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment status or discrepancies.

  Requirements

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience, with a strong preference for candidates with manufacturing industry experience.

• Experienced in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables).

• Strong understanding of manufacturing-specific expenses, such as vendor contracts and purchase orders.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP compliance is highly desirable.

• High school diploma required; an associate degree or higher in accounting is preferred.
