DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you have the opportunity to lead and supervise an inmate work crew in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a boiler plant. As a boiler operator, you will ensure the efficient operation of oil-fired boilers under normal and emergency conditions. You will have the responsibility of overseeing inmate workers and maintaining a safe and clean work environment, a crucial aspect of the role that requires constant vigilance. Your daily communication with your supervisor and your completion of assigned paperwork and inventories will contribute to the smooth running of the operation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment; 40-hour work week. Work hours are 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Your schedule will involve rotating shifts and days off. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
