JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing efficient and effective maintenance services at the designated job site.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.

  • Perform all maintenance work according to contract quality and time schedules.
  • Understand contract requirements as it relates to their position.
  • Ensures quality assurance standards are met by doing visual inspections. Provide on-going training for assigned apprentices.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment under established procedures.
  • Answer maintenance calls and other specified maintenance task as required.
  • Works directly with Project Manager on maintenance reporting issues.
  • Perform maintenance to include use of lifts, ladders or specialized machinery, and upkeep.
  • This position would be assisting with maintaining equipment, supplies, summer services (pressure washing, high dusting and floor care), perform inspections on quality and equipment and other duties as needed.
  • Keep Maintenance logs and perform electronic data entry tracking for equipment and vehicles.
  • Must have a drivers license, clean driving record, current insurance coverage and reliable transportation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of facility maintenance or comparable experience is desirable.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to pass a background screening

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

  • Solid communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints; able to satisfactorily present information in oral or written formats).
  • Effective interpersonal abilities. Able to get along with diverse personalities; is tactful and professional. Service oriented.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to think-on-your-feet.
  • Good administrative skills; comfortable performing multiple tasks concurrently; and attentive to detail for quality performance.

TRAVEL:

No travel is expected for this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require extraordinary physical demands (e.g., lifting, push/pull, carrying, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing). Will involve operating equipment, lifting/moving a minimum of 40 pounds with a maximum of 60 pounds.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tasks are regularly performed indoors without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes). Some tasks may be performed outdoors.
  • Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
  • Required training provided by the company.
  • Most tasks will be performed with little supervision.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity.
