Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a Program Coordinator I. The Program Coordinator I (Gallery and Collections) will oversee and plan the exhibitions program in the Stedman Gallery, supporting the mission and priorities of Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts (RCCA). Working with the RCCA Director, this position coordinates exhibition and event programming, recruits and works with guest curators, oversees production of exhibition catalogues and markets exhibition programming. Additionally, Program Coordinator I will manage the Rutgers-Camden Collection of Art, working with Rutgers Foundation to coordinate acquisition and registration; places collection artwork in secure campus locations on request; and works to assure proper storage for the collection.
Position is contingent on continuation of grant funding.

Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a fully remote work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience + two year's of experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Required undergraduate degree in fine arts; art history; arts education and/or museum studies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in art history and/or museum studies and exhibition production.
  • Three years of experience in gallery management.
Equipment Utilized
Experience with art object handling, storage and care.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Typical office environment including utilization of computer. Occasional lifting, carrying of objects less than 25 lbs.
