Program Coordinator AC Navigational/Safe Return (CV2450-219) - Safe Return Division

$19.23/Hr, together with benefits package.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is looking to hire a Program Coordinator to join our highly dynamic and growing team. They will report to the Program Director.

Scope of Duties:

  • The responsibilities are administrative in function coordinating and providing support and assistance for on-site services through the Atlantic City VOADV Programs.

  • The treatment function includes social service coordination and case management responsibilities

  • Overseeing ongoing security and safety of the programs,

  • Accountability for the client population,

  • Supervising the orientation of all new clients,

  • Conducting risk assessments,

  • Developing and implementing service plans

  • Delivering treatment service to the clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Regularly required standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, talking, hearing, and smelling.

  • Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs.

  • Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.

  • Ability to identify and/or distinguish colors.

  • Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while remaining fixed on a given point.

Credentials/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years experience working directly in social services or 5 years experience in the field.

  • The position requires demonstrated ability and mastery of the following skills: resource development, community and public relations, experience with diverse populations, and office administration.

  • Good oral and written communication and organization skills.

  • Functioning knowledge of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word. Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet agency standards.

  • Must have direct experience in working with the homeless population and individuals who suffer from substance abuse and mental health issues.

  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact appropriately with clients.

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

  • Valid driver’s license required and the ability to meet agency driving standards.
