$19.23/Hr, together with benefits package.
Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is looking to hire a Program Coordinator to join our highly dynamic and growing team. They will report to the Program Director.
Scope of Duties:
The responsibilities are administrative in function coordinating and providing support and assistance for on-site services through the Atlantic City VOADV Programs.
The treatment function includes social service coordination and case management responsibilities
Overseeing ongoing security and safety of the programs,
Accountability for the client population,
Supervising the orientation of all new clients,
Conducting risk assessments,
Developing and implementing service plans
Delivering treatment service to the clients.
Essential Functions:
Regularly required standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
Ability to identify and/or distinguish colors.
Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while remaining fixed on a given point.
Credentials/Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years experience working directly in social services or 5 years experience in the field.
The position requires demonstrated ability and mastery of the following skills: resource development, community and public relations, experience with diverse populations, and office administration.
Good oral and written communication and organization skills.
Functioning knowledge of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word. Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet agency standards.
Must have direct experience in working with the homeless population and individuals who suffer from substance abuse and mental health issues.
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact appropriately with clients.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Valid driver’s license required and the ability to meet agency driving standards.
