Position Summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager provides comprehensive financial projections, business plans, and midrange plans for Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) to Subaru Corporation (SBR). This role involves gathering, preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial statements, ensuring detailed documentation and explanations of changes between comparison periods.

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepares financial projections of profitability for the annual business plan, quarterly forecasts, and mid-range business plan for Subaru of America (SOA).

  • Prepares supporting schedules as needed for SOA executive management meetings with Subaru Corporation (SBR) management. Provides financial statement comparisons, financial variance analysis, and explanations of SOA strategies to SBR management as requested.

  • Acts as a financial liaison between SOA management and SBR management.

  • Loads the annual SOA business plan for all components of vehicle gross profit, fleet profit, transportation profit, and incentive expense.

  • Monitors and controls monthly closing status and monitors account reconciliations and deliverables.

  • Leads OneStream Planning implementation to gain process efficiencies and improvement in forecast and variance analysis accuracy.

  • Maintains responsibility for financial modeling and sensitivity analysis.

  • Works closely with the Vice President - Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director - Financial Controller, and various department directors and managers to coordinate financial projections and plans.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Presents projections, actuals, and variances to management.

  • Prepares visual charts, dashboards, and graphs as well as commentary to effectively communicate results and trends to management.

  • Serves as key liaison with SBR business planning, responding timely and accurately to questions and requests.

Required Skills & Personal Qualifications

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visualization communication skills.

  • Ability to manage demanding deadlines and multiple time-sensitive requests.

  • Experience with BI tools and OneStream or another enterprise performance management (EPM) system.

  • Expert knowledge in financial metrics including payback, return on investment (ROI), and internal rate of return (IRR).

Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience required. Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and/or CPA preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

  • Internal Work Environment: Prolonged sitting at desk and working on computer.

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $89,400 – 120,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (Internal Job Grade: M1) In addition to competitive salary, Subaru offers an amazing benefits package that includes:
