Position Summary
Leads the deployment, integration, and communication process between all involved departments and key stakeholders throughout the full life of a brand advertising campaign, including but not limited to, including multiple internal teams, the advertising agency or agencies, and media partners. Acts as the primary leader on campaigns that are cross-functional in nature and helps lead strategic and creative decisions for approvals from all areas. Manages brand advertising campaigns with the advertising agency to keep the job on task regarding strategy and deliverables, time, scope, and on budget with respect to all areas’ financial commitments. Manages the daily approvals and feedback of campaigns. Manages a Brand Advertising Production Specialist who executes all creative deliverables.
Major Responsibilities
Maintains responsibility for the development and management of brand advertising strategies and the planning, development, budgeting, and production of Subaru TV commercials, digital video commercials, integrated media campaigns, and social media content. Campaigns include Subaru brand TV and digital commercials, Dear Subaru, National Make A Dog’s Day, multicultural advertising, content for various media partners, non-Share the Love sales events, incentive messaging, Philadelphia Union, and national print campaigns.
Oversees and attends the production shoot in person, independently or with direct reports, to ensure that the brand and strategy are reflected in the final product.
Provides strategic direction and oversight to ad agencies. Oversees implementation of strategy, communication plans, content, and progress.
Manages creative updates, timing, media planning, and deliverables for campaigns and programs.
Works collectively with internal teams and departments to develop deadlines and approvals for creative assets to support each campaign or project. Creative assets include advertising materials such as photos, videos, printed materials, and messaging content. Collaborates with internal teams, agencies, and retailers to ensure that the campaign materials are consistent and fresh content is produced.
Manages responsibility for the final review, accuracy, and compliance of advertising materials pre-campaign launch with Legal, Product Management, Creative Services, and ad agencies.
Manages the internal approval process for campaign work at the manager level before obtaining approval from senior management.
Fulfills day-to-day budgetary management for the National Advertising Budget. Maintains accountability for invoices, billing, and cost control. Plans, manages, tracks, and optimizes the budget and ensures a high rate of return and efficiency.
Manages Media Partner Content integrations for vehicle launches, brand pillar support, and other media partner content needs. Influences and leads efforts, including schedules, of multiple internal and external groups to ensure that advertising team deliverables are executed as designed.
Manages Talent and Residuals cost, renewals, re-negotiations, and timing. Ensures that all decisions are weighed against company and department priorities, as well as timing for new creative assets.
Manages creative rotation, timing, assets, and deliverables for monthly media rotation, coordinating closely with Media and Social Team and Launch Team. Maintains responsibility for obtaining executive approval. Determines how brand campaigns can be maximized for best effectiveness.
Maintains responsibility for the accuracy and updates for the following critical materials utilized by the Advertising team: Master Production Planning Calendar for all Advertising team productions and Creative Asset list. Managing the Master Production Planning Calendar entails continual collaboration with all three areas of the Advertising Team to align schedules, planning, and execution. Maintains high-level responsibility and oversight of Creative Asset list to ensure that the document is updated and communicated across all teams.
Additional Responsibilities
- Acts as lead manager on occasion for embargo vehicle production, as well as other ad-hoc productions for Advertising Team.
Required Skills and Personal Qualifications
Excellent communication, project management, multi-tasking, and organization skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
Excellent budget management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously from initiation to completion and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong marketing and analytical background, problem-solving ability, and highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to be responsive and flexible to evolving responsibilities.
Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization, including Executive team. Adapt at building relationships.
Self-motivated with creative solution-seeking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage at least one (1) direct report.
Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant advertising production and agency experience. Strong marketing and analytical background.
Work Environment
Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
Required Travel: 30% Includes overnight travel, partner visits, SOA retailers, conferences, production shoots, and corporate events.
Occasional night and weekend work.
Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $111500 – 140000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
