As the Manager of Project Engineering, you will take charge of guiding and overseeing a dedicated team of engineers focused on project engineering and graphics. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering technical support for component projects and proposals while skillfully managing department budgets and schedules. This role involves dynamic interactions with team members, internal departments, and external customers, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional project outcomes.

Accountabilities

Inspire and Lead:

Communicate clear expectations and foster a culture of accountability to propel both personal and corporate strategic goals.

Master Budget and Schedule:

Oversee the financial and scheduling aspects of project engineering and graphics, ensuring we meet our commitments efficiently.

Drive Design Excellence:

Manage the design processes for steam generators, heat exchangers, and other critical nuclear components, ensuring they exceed all customer and regulatory standards.

Champion Proposals and Sales:

Support our marketing and sales efforts by providing competitive and realistic engineering estimates and schedules.

Optimize Resources:

Coordinate engineering projects, provide expert advice on design validation, and ensure technical excellence.

Resolve Technical Challenges:

Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, ensuring seamless design and manufacturing processes.

What you bring to the role

Experience and Expertise:

A post-secondary engineering degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience in the nuclear field, including a proven track record in a management role.

Technical Mastery:

Deep knowledge of pressure vessel design and manufacturing in line with ASME/CSA codes and standards.

Leadership Skills:

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a knack for leading a team of technical specialists to achieve ambitious project goals.

Communication and Management:

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, paired with strong management capabilities to drive customer satisfaction and align with corporate strategies.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[133,000]] and $[[184,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
