Microsoft Corporation Sr. Marketing Operations Business Program Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts
The Global Demand Center is looking for a seasoned Sr. Marketing Operations Business Program Manager (BPM) to drive agile marketing campaign operations. This person thrives on bringing order to chaos, is a consummate team player and collaborator and is hyper focused on the customer and business results. The BPM loves to understand the E2E process and the details of how things work but is also able to step back and see the forest for the trees.
This role will act as the central “hub” across a vast array of team members, vendors and partners including Strategic Marketers, Marketing Technologists, Platform Specialists, Data Analysts, Field Operations Specialists, Content Operations, Localization, and many others. As the BPM, they will be expected to lead and drive these cross-functional teams to problem solve, drive resolution, and ensure that the campaigns are delivered on time, with quality and at scale with the ultimate outcome being world class customer experiences and business impact. In addition, as the owner of the E2E operations/ecosystem, this person will be identifying, collaborating, and leading process transformation to continually improve speed, quality, and scale.

Driving the marketing automation campaign, onboarding, and operations lifecycle from campaign concept through global launch and continuous optimization of customer experiences.
Partnering deeply with other marketers to develop and understand the vision, define clear and measurable goals, and make key decisions regarding how to implement.
Driving and leading key initiatives and complex programs that drive large business impact across the organization.
Being a modern marketing technology leader - Understanding marketing technology opportunities and guiding the team to the implementation approaches to best suit ultimate business goals – meeting the buyer/customer where they are in their journey, no matter what property they are on (web, email, mobile, paid media, in-product).
Running a virtual team with other marketing professionals (campaign managers, content creators, designers, marketing automation specialists, email builders, web, demand generation, analytics, and others) aligned to one or more campaigns in the portfolio to build, launch, measure, and optimize marketing to drive business results.
Drive operation execution of campaign strategies across marketing functions including marketing automation, customer communications, and inside sales.
Helping to ramp up, train, and mentor other BPMs within the team and across the company.
Act as a partner and strategic advisor to the marketers to develop actionable insights and recommendations to improve overall campaign performance
A seasoned business program manager, with 7+ years direct experience in leading large cross-functional teams in business, marketing, or product engineering. Experience managing/working in marketing campaign operations a plus.
Self-starter, ambitious, eager to dive in, and get work done.
Proven ability to program manage, problem solve and drive results, with an eye for details – not afraid to roll up sleeves and go deep.
A passion for the customer, customer experience and driving business results.
A consummate team player with excellent people/partnership skills; an ability to lead from behind is necessary.
Hands-on experience in managing large and small programs in Agile and other traditional project management methodologies.
Strong project management skills with proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work in a very fast-paced, high-volume environment, with the ability to quickly assess, triage, adjust and tackle is necessary.
Skilled at bringing order and frameworks to fluid environments with optimism, resiliency, and flexibility.
Excellent communication, inter-personal, and cross group collaboration skills.
Ability to deftly use Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint (or similar) for effective communication, presentation, and process diagramming.
Strong process, continuous improvement, and execution mindset with an eye toward driving efficiency, scale, and quality.
Prior experience in implementing process improvements processes using data related insights.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in computer science, marketing, or business; an MBA (or equivalent) a plus.
