Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the biotech industry, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The role involves undertaking key accounting responsibilities including audit functions, month-end close, and external reporting. The successful candidate will also be expected to handle SEC financial reporting duties. This role compensates from $95 - 105K + bonus + equity and they are on a hybrid office schedule. Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular audits to ensure financial procedures and operations are in line with regulatory standards

• Handling the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and reports

• Managing external reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial information

• Overseeing SEC financial reporting process to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements

• Collaborating closely with the accounting team to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in the financial records and statements

• Providing support and guidance to the accounting team in relation to audit and reporting activities

• Staying abreast with the latest industry trends and changes in regulations related to financial reporting

• Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and policies

• Working on special projects as assigned related to financial reporting and analysis.

Requirements

• 2 - 3+ years of experience in the field of accounting.

• Top7 public accounting experience

• CPA or working towards is a plus
