This position is a senior member of the North America Security - Product Security team. The Senior Manager, Investigations is responsible for conducting high-level, complex, and sensitive product and supply chain security investigative matters, while also being assigned routine investigations that could pose a threat to the organization within the North America region. This position ensures that immediate and long-term objectives are in line with corporate and organizational objectives of our Product and Patient Protection program. Acting both proactively and reactively, this position creates strategic plans to manage fraud in a disciplined and systematic fashion, including product protection, internet investigations, training, and liaisons.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations to identify illicit operations related to Sanofi products to include counterfeiting, product diversion, product tampering, and intellectual property violations of company brands

  • Manage third party vendors within the area of responsibility for North America

  • Conduct internet and cyber-related investigations to safeguard Sanofi products and sensitive materials 

  • Work with both internal and external resources in a rapidly evolving environment

  • Coordinate efforts with Sanofi third-party monitoring services and other national networks and partners

  • Monitor various B2B, social media boards and websites who are illegally offering Sanofi products. Work with Legal, Law Enforcement, Regulatory Agencies and Compliance to mitigate risk

  • Conduct test purchases to further the investigation and liaison with Law Enforcement

  • Provide training and awareness to Sanofi Business Units and Functions related to counterfeiting, diversion and tampering, and asset protection. Also participate in external training related to counterfeiting, theft, diversion, and partnerships with various local, state, and federal regulatory and law enforcement and professional security organizations

  • Identify weaknesses and provide security recommendations to strengthen and secure items to minimize monetary loss to Sanofi

  • Liaison with internal and external networks and partnerships to include Sanofi Business Units, Supply Chain, Pharmaceutical Security Institute (PSI), National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA), FDA/OCI, Homeland Security Investigations(HSI), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Pharmaceutical Cargo Security Coalition (PCSC), Intellectual Property Rights (IPRC), State Boards of Pharmacy, Partnerships for Safe Medicines, and numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology Security departments.

About you

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years of security, risk management or investigative experience in a corporate or government setting

  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology related industry is highly preferred

  • Demonstrated Investigative success

  • Knowledge of risk analysis on a corporate or governmental level

  • Knowledge of security best practices and operations in a corporate enterprise or governmental environment

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally, domestically, and internationally

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
