Additional Information:This is a two-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.
This position is based in Boston and some in-person on-campus work will be required, and flexible/remote work is an option. Any remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA*, CT, GA, IL, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VA, VT, and WA). Individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process. *Note: Harvard employees working in California must be exempt.

The Marks lab in the Department of Systems Biology is looking for a Project Manager to join a vibrant Computational Biology lab at Harvard Medical School and work as part of a team to manage the CEPI Award. The CEPI Award focuses on methods development for prediction and validation of viral evolution, with the intent of making vaccine design proactive rather than reactive. This is a collaboration between 4 labs at different institutions: the Marks lab at HMS (prime), the Lemieux lab at MGH, the Seaman lab at BIDH and the Luban lab at UMass. This position will manage and coordinate the interactions between the collaborating labs as well as the project's external presence.
Specific duties include:
Articulate sub-goals for individual labs to ensure progress toward overall project goals.
Facilitate data exchange and communication among teams.
Organize and take minutes for project meetings.
Track progress toward short-term and long-term goals for all labs.
Track and plan spending for the overall project, combining information from all labs.
Write briefs, summaries, and reports, internal and external, for all components of the project.
Contribute to manuscripts reporting scientific results.
Manage the project's external media presence, including websites and press releases.
