Title Postdoctoral Fellow
School Faculty of Arts and Sciences
Department/Area Molecular and Cellular Biology
Position Description
About Us: Join an interdisciplinary research team of the Cluzel laboratory at Harvard that focuses on advancing the frontiers of biological imaging, microfluidics and understanding intracellular processes. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to develop novel techniques for real-time characterization of intracellular processes using fluorescence microscopy and fluctuation correlation spectroscopy ( FCS ). Important Note: No formal knowledge in biology is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
Design and build an apparatus based on fluctuation correlation spectroscopy ( FCS ) for real-time characterization of intracellular processes such as gene expression and protein aggregation in living cells.
Conduct experiments using fluorescence microscopy and FCS techniques to study dynamic cellular processes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize experimental protocols and analyze data.
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at conferences and seminars.
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students involved in the project.
