About This Role:

The Analytics Intern is critical to ensuring Forrester’s client retention analysis is accurate and actionable. In this role, you will collaborate closely with members of the research analytics and product teams to analyze and provide insights about Forrester’s client base. This intern will identify, correctly interpret, synthesize, and analyze client data that improve client retention. This role will be a part of Forrester’s summer intern program, which will include dedicated events and learnings to support professional development. This role will be based in Forrester’s Cambridge, MA office.

Job Description:

  • Create, clean, process, and manipulate large datasets with data accuracy and integrity.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of data models to analyze client retention data.

  • Conduct statistical analysis to identify factors influencing client retention rates and customer churn.

  • Document analysis methodologies, procedures, and results for future reference and to share with colleagues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data inputs, define analysis objectives, and interpret and refine results.

  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  • Support ad-hoc data analysis and research projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in statistics, mathematics, data science, business technology, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of and experience with a software package, such as SPSS or R, and demonstrated experience in conducting multivariate statistical analysis, such as regression, factor analysis, cluster analysis, and modeling.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.

  • Sharp attention to detail, high personal standards for quality, and superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
