What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the greenfield mining project from inception through construction and initial operations.

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, budget, and risk management plan.

  • Oversee cross-functional teams, including engineers and contractors.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the permitting process to ensure operational needs are met during the preparation and submission of all required environmental and operational permits. Support stakeholder communication efforts by providing operational information to the stakeholder engagement team and participating in stakeholder communication activities, ensuring transparency and clarity about project operations.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams to develop detailed designs for mining operations, infrastructure, and facilities.

  • Oversee contractor selection, procurement, and contract management processes.

  • Manage construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues as they arise.

  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to address technical, financial, and regulatory challenges. Proactively resolve project bottlenecks, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and stakeholders.

What Are We Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, preferably in mining, heavy civil engineering, or related industries.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost estimation, and schedule management.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
