Job Title: Skilled Laborer

Job Description

Candidates will be working on the roof of a large warehouse build where they will assist with installing solar racking and panels. They will be involved with installing modules onto the panels, working with hand and power tools, and may be measuring and assisting with installing racking hardware. Responsibilities include measuring and mounting racking to the warehouse roof, aligning panels, and measuring overhang to correct specifications.

Hard Skills

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively

• Ability to travel to the site

• Experience working outdoors

• Experience installing racking (solar or warehouse)

This is a contract position with a duration of 2 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Calgary, Alberta.

Work Environment

Will be working on the flat roof of a large warehouse build. The job will last for one month. Candidates will work as part of a team and report to the foreman, who will lay out day-to-day expectations. The primary work scope will be as described in the job description. The work environment is outdoors, so candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. Parking is provided on-site. The current team size is 21 members. Working hours are from 7am to 4:30pm, totaling 9 hours per day. Overtime is paid after 44 hours per week. The pay rate is $24-$25 per hour, depending on experience. No required tickets.
