As an Information Technology Business Analyst you will be an integral part of the IT program team dedicated to The Citys building permit modernization. This program aims to enhance service delivery improve citizen experience and increase customer satisfaction by streamlining permit applications through the utilization of emerging technologies such as AI and automation. Collaborating with business clients the IT team will develop a unified intake solution for public-facing permit services implement a comprehensive knowledge base strategy and establish an analytical engine to generate meaningful metrics and trend forecasts.

You will assist the technical team in creating services and products to deliver IT solutions to business clients.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Gathering project requirements

2. Eliciting business requirements/process/workflows

3. Determine function and nonfunctional requirements

4. Translate business needs into detailed requirements

5. Document and Analysis the business and technical requirements

6. Function as the liaison among stakeholders

7. Elaborate project details

8. Support project implementation

9. Aid in user acceptance testing

10. Solve and training users on questions issues and problem

The initial term of this contract is for 12 months subjected to extension.

Remote working is allowed .

Essential Skills

1. Minimum 4 years of successful experience in Business Analyst for public facing web applications. This is a crucial role in identifying modernization solutions to improve customer service experience

2. Minimum 1 year of experiences on permit approval or building safe process analysis and AI related tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1. Analyze Business Processes: Understand and document current (AS-IS) business processes. Strong ability to analyze and document business processes, gather business requirements, create detailed workflow diagram and Process Definition Documents (PDDs).

2. Strong understanding of package acquisition methodology, principles and best practices. Familiar with Microsoft and Cloud solution is another plus.

3. Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members and stakeholders

4. Previous experience in large scale enterprise customer intake system, AI, robotic process automation and public sector.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills both internally and externally with personnel at all levels.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr.
