Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Budget Analyst for one of Canadas largest electricity transmission companies based out of Calgary. A successful candidate will be working alongside the Senior Budget Analyst, playing a key role in the development of financial scenarios and presentations for the 10-year-plan, quarterly, monthly and weekly forecasts. You will be preparing materials for senior executives, supporting the overall budgeting process, and developing financial models used for business validations, scenario analysis, and new strategic initiatives. To be successful in this position, you will require strong technical knowledge related to business planning, budgeting, financial modelling, and reporting, as well as strong analysis and communication skills. This is a hybrid contract-to-hire position, with the expectation of being in office 3 days a week.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with budgeting and financial modelling specifically in excel

   - Expert in excel, with the ability to work with complex formulas

   - 5+ years of experience with financial statements

   - Undergraduate degree with a CFA, CPA, MBA in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent

   - 3+ years of consolidation experience

   - 3+ years' experience with IFRS, exposure to US GAAP

   - Experience with ERP Systems (ideally SAP or Oracle)

   - Business Intelligence experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Regulatory accounting experience

 - Experience working for a company that implemented a new system

Experience with HFM (Hyperion) null
