Job Description

We are seeking a skilled heavy truck electronics technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wiring, installing lighting, sensors, switches, and control monitors through reading electrical prints and diagrams. This role involves building heavy trucks from the frame to the final assembly stage, including wiring electrical components throughout the entire truck. Additionally, the position requires mechanical assembly and fabrication of trucks and equipment (25% of the time). This is a custom fabrication shop where technicians wear many hats.

Responsibilities

  • Wiring and installing lighting, sensors, switches, and control monitors.

  • Reading and interpreting electrical prints and diagrams.

  • Building heavy trucks from the frame to the final assembly.

  • Wiring electrical components throughout the entire truck.

  • Performing mechanical assembly and fabrication of trucks and equipment (25% of the time).

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electronics and electrical wiring.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and diagrams.

  • Experience with truck equipment and assembly.

  • Knowledge of switches, sensors, soldering, and electrical components.

  • Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills.

  • Proficiency with hand tools and electrical assembly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caledonia, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
