Heavy Equipment Operator(Solar Project)

Duties: Hiring fair at the Cortez Workforce Center Sept 20th 9-2pm

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and haul trucks for various civil/dirt work tasks. Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Perform excavation, grading, and site preparation activities in accordance with project specifications. Load and transport materials to and from designated areas on the solar site. Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to meet project timelines and objectives. Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment as needed. Qualifications:

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating large pieces of equipment, including excavators, dozers, and haul trucks. This role is vital for ensuring the successful completion of site preparation and earthmoving tasks.

Other Requirements: Be at least 18 yrs of age. Proven experience operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators, dozers, and haul trucks.

Wage: $30 per hour

Shifts: This is a full-time, temporary position that is expected to last about a year. Monday-Friday 50+ hours per week.

Job Site: Dolores Canyon (Dolores County)

Benefits: Weekly Pay, Health, Vision, and Dental, 401k, and sick leave. Per diem is offered in some situations.
