Job Summary

The In-Process Inspector uses fixed or variable measuring instruments (including sight inspection) to inspect components, sub-assemblies, work in progress product, finished product and DHR documentation checking for irregularities and non-conformance according to established procedures. In addition, they perform the process monitoring data collection and analysis. During non-conformance events, the in-process inspector executes/coordinates identification and segregation activities.

Job Details/Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process inspection, final inspection, and testing of product and/or materials according to applicable procedures, specifications, and standards.

  • Report inspection results according to established procedures and allow accepted material to continue to the next step. If non-conformance is observed inspector rejects, identifies and segregate material as applicable.

  • Participate in internal quality audits as requested by management and assist in the development and implementation of updated inspection procedures.

  • Participates in validation, Gage R&R execution, and other inspections as required.

  • Executes training on Inspection Procedure and other procedures to Quality team.

  • Ensure compliance with all TPR procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

  • Must have good math aptitude, good vision, and capable of accurately utilizing detailed measurement instruments for extended periods of time.

  • Must have the capacity to calculate, coordinate, detect, evaluate, inspect, and collect detailed information.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.

  • Must have mechanical aptitude.

  • Knowledge on Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point) is required.

  • Prior knowledge of QSR, statistics, ISO, CAPA is preferred.

  • This is an onsite role. Maximum remote work of 0%

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

  • Associate Degree or two (2) years of college in Science or Math with a minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience in an inspection role or, High School with a minimum of (2) two years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Experience is preferable in pharmaceutical or medical devices environment.
