The machinist will be responsible for collaborating with team and help solving precision tooling challenges. Utilizing knowledge to solve customer issues, and directing calls to the managerial team when necessary. Looking for someone diverse who can run different types of machines (CNC/manual). This opening is specific for a Manual High Speed Grinder. We have CNC, surface, jig, centerless, ID/OD, wet grinding; CNC and Bridgeport Mills, CNC and manual lathes, Wire and Sinker EDM. Pay depends on experience. We are willing to train the right employee. Looking for a team player that wants to learn each piece of equipment and programming and grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Working with various tooling and steel/metals
- Precision work, perform very tight tolerances, attention to detail a must, not a production volume setting
- Perform equipment set-ups and perform off sets to keep tolerance
- Program and/or aptitude to learn programming through time, ability to operate computer equipment/operating programs such as E2, AutoCAD, Mastercam
- Follow detailed instructions to complete work activities including blueprint reading and interpretation, verifies conformance/dimensional/part layout to CAD data/blueprint specs/GD&T
- Be able to use calipers, micrometers, general tool maker tools
- Inspection of your own parts and recording quality control and production output information on self cert
- Work in a mildly loud environment but controlled temperature shop
- Exercise physical strength and stamina while working on feet 8-10 hours M-F. Some Saturdays required, typically not more than 5-6 hours on any given Saturday. We do not work more than 55 hours a week.
