Horizon Bank Commercial Lending Systems Administrator in Cadillac, Michigan

Job Overview

This position provides system administration and support for the Commercial Lending loan origination system (LOS) to ensure the system is functioning at optimum performance levels. This role will interact with department management to maintain alignment between business processes, map work flows, integrate lending practices and policies, and facilitate communications with current and potential vendors. The position will focus on efficiencies, integrity, compliance, reliability, and will recommend updates and perform the appropriate testing within the LOS. The individual will also troubleshoot and correct system errors. Principal Accountabilities

Contribute to the Commercial division origination goals by ensuring the LOS system is running smoothly from origination, to booking, and servicing. Work with vendors to evaluate, set up, test, implement and integrate systems as required to meet business needs. Represent the Bank to internal and external customers, and vendors in a courteous, professional manner in face-to-face and telephone communications.Accountable for adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards including but not limited to CRA and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), quality and timeliness of departmental activities.Actively protect confidentiality of customer and account information. Demonstrate Horizon Bank's commitment to the communities in which we serve through active involvement in local organizations and events. Duties

Implement, integrate, review, analyze and evaluate current systems, as well as, user needs for the purpose of creating increased productivity. Serve as System Administrator for the Commercial Loan Origination System. Act as a reliable liaison between the commercial and technology teams. Serve as the Assistant Project Manager for new systems and software recommendations. Manage and maintain the LOS for the Commercial Lending Division. Consolidate information from various systems and build reports as requested. Document technical requirements, define scope and objectives, and research and recommend systems to compliment business strategies including process improvement and enhanced automation. Identify and communicate differences between Commercial Lending needs and technology limitations. Recommend new technologies when appropriate. Participate in required meetings on a regular basis. Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions for Commercial Lending. Participate in ongoing skill, compliance, product, market, risk management and security training as required for the position and apply knowledge in performance of daily tasks. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills

Associates degree within a Business Systems Analysis degree program or higher. Minimum three (3) years' experience in Commercial Lending systems administration, or experience in similar line of business preferred. Excellent knowledge of relevant PC software applications. Able to communicate clearly with all levels in a bank organization and with vendors. Experience with relational database concepts and determining system interface opportunities. Self-starter, organized and able to multi-task to complete projects on time. Able to research issues, questions or concerns, and suggest the appropriate action. Able to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks.
