    About The Job

    The Information Technology (IT) Architecture & Engineering lead will be responsible for overseeing and leading the architecture & engineering discipline within Dudek. The position requires an experienced and seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge of information technology and data management architectures, information technology engineering disciplines, information security architectures, regulatory frameworks, and overall deep understanding of interplay between technology, security, people, processes, operations, and risk.

    Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below): 

  • Partnering with the CIO, the information technology team, business leaders, and environmental engineering teams to establish a secure, scalable, and holistic technology architecture to meet the growing business needs of Dudek in concert with legal, regulatory, and contractual commitments.

  • Responsible for market analysis and identification of applicable solutions to enable emerging technology and business objectives.

  • Developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap of technology solutions and their associated lifecycle disposition in concert with new and existing technology investments.

  • Lead the solution design of the holistic structure and interaction of technology architecture components aligned to standards and roadmaps.

  • Lead efforts to ensure the overall technology architecture positions Dudek well for growth in both the private and public sector.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and security service providers to integrate security architecture into the ongoing operations and maintenance of IT systems and applications.

  • Establish information technology engineering standards as the basis for ongoing investments, designs, and deployments.

  • Proactively monitor and assess emerging industry and technology trends and formulate recommendations for proactive adoption.

  • Interface regularly with new and existing technology vendors to understand their roadmaps and align industry solutions with Dudek’s roadmap.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., architecture & engineering) preferred.

  • Proven experience with industry-leading cloud services, architectures, and operating models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 architectures and cloud services.

  • Experience defining and leading the design and implementation of enterprise data management architectures and related security and operations

  • Demonstrated experience leading and defining the architecture and standards for enterprise-wide technology deployments that require significant changes to users regular business operations.

  • Experience working with companies in both the private and public sector, including intimacy with their related business and compliance constraints

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF), security standards (e.g. 800-53, 800-171), and industry best practices.

  • Proficiency in conducting architecture and security assessments to identify gaps and defining action plans for ongoing remediation and improvements

  • Experience with cloud security service providers, tools, and technologies

  • Strong analytical and analysis capabilities and related communications

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities

    • As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.

    Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.

  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

    Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

  • This job requires attending meetings, both in person and virtually as well as speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc. Speaking, hearing and listening are required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Outdoor activity may involve walking/trekking in uneven terrain over long distances in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.

    Proposed Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 per year*

    *Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
