The Product Sourcing Engineer will represent procurement during the product development phase until “Go to Market”, supporting the organization by driving early supplier involvement, meeting bill of material cost targets and sourcing timelines.

Your role:

• Meeting Bill of Material cost targets and assure in-time sourcing

• Conducting RFI’s / RFQ’s, follow up and report out on material cost status and timeline

• Driving design to cost, conduct cost workshops & execute cost reductions programs

• Supporting the Product change management process during and after product launch

• Conducting Sourcing in-line with the global procurement category strategy

• Supporting new supplier identification and on-boarding

• Driving cost performance for sustaining projects for an assigned product category

You are the right fit if:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in a Technical or Commercial discipline

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category/commodity management within a large international company

• Experience in supplier management, R&D partnering, sourcing or commodity management

• Industry Experience: Medical, Automotive, Aerospace is preferred

• Experience with diverse technologies (i.e., molding, extrusion, precision metals, electronics, etc.)

• Experience with diverse suppliers’ technologies and processes

• Deep knowledge of the long-term structural cost drivers for assigned products/categories

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Very good german language skills
