This is a Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift position located in the Byhalia, MS area.

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Shipping Clerk on our 2nd Shift, Monday to Thursday- 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following: Scans bills of lading to a shared documents folder. Accurately files printed bills of lading in filing cabinets. Answers inquiries concerning bills of lading. Interact and communicate internally at various levels and externally with common carrier drivers. Ability to accurately prepare bills of lading, using company software. Other duties as assigned.

Must be familiar with logistic methodology regarding traffic/carriers/loads. Must have strong skills in handling high volume product movement. Must have demonstrated ability to professionally interact and communicate internally at various levels and externally with carriers to maintain/improve relationship and service. Must have basic knowledge of truckload and LTL freight requirements. Education and/or Experience:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED experience) with 3-7 years of experience in distribution working with carriers.  Proven basic computer skills to include MSOffice Suite, and Excel. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate concisely, effectively, and professionally via email and telephone. Must have demonstrated ability to professionally interact and communicate internally at various levels and externally with carriers to maintain/improve relationship and service. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common knowledge understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a demanding environment.Must be able to think critically and solve problems even when solutions are not readily available.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  N/A
