About this Role

The Operations Graduate Program (OGP) at Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO) is a 15-month program program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your knowledge and creative skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business topics.

The Volvo Group North America Operations Graduate Program (OGP) does not offer current or future sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for the program.

Minimum Education Requirements and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Management or other relevant engineering discipline.

Critical Languages: (Spoken and written)

  • English

Former experience and professional skills:

  • Knowledge of (logistics) processes and warehousing

  • Leadership experience or capabilities.

  • Experience in lean management techniques

Personal characteristics

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills 

  • An attitude for self-development and a holistic view 

  • Perseverance, energy and a drive to improve 

  • Strong work ethic

What you will do

  • Foster a high performing culture based on trust and engagement. This by running our daily OMS Agenda based on our operational focus areas within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment and People (SQDCEP).

  • Oversee individual and team performance by report and deliver KPI’s, conducting regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback to your Team.

  • Lead and drive continuous improvements by using applicable tools and principles based on Volvo Performance System (VPS) and Volvo Operations Concepts (VOC).

  • People Development: Plan and manage employee training, coaching, and personal development to maximize potential and continuous growth.

  • Lead and engage your Team based on our Leadership principles and Promote Volvo Group values and culture.
