WESTERN STATES ENVELOPE & LABEL Production Maintenance Mechanic in BUTLER, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery. Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. Record repairs and maintenance performed. Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials, as necessary. Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices. Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems. Study blueprints or manufacturers\' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior Production Maintenance experience. SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS Associate DegreeORequivalent from two-year college or technical school;ORa minimum of three years related experienceand/ortraining;ORequivalent combination of education and experience. Strong mechanical ability, analysis and troubleshooting skills within a production and/or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to readand interpret ruler measurements. Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift. Ability to move up to 50 lbs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION Ability to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks), lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent, twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop. Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
