Lutheran SeniorLife Recreation Therapy Manager in Butler, Pennsylvania
Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania. The Advanced Care Center of Butler is a comfortable and home-like 29-bed skilled nursing center that provides high quality short-term rehabilitation services and comprehensive nursing care to help individuals successfully return to home. Responsible for the planning, supervision and implementation of recreational programs for the elderly, as part of an inter-disciplinary team using principles of recreation therapy. The Recreation Therapy Manager builds a sense of community and warm social atmosphere for the participants, evaluates their needs, and develops group and individual programming to meet those needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in Recreation Therapy or a related field. At least one year of experience with frail or elderly. Minimum 2 years’ experience in social or recreational program preferred. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
