Substance Use Disorder Counselor (part-time)
Location: Butler, PA, 16002
Job Summary
The PT Substance Use Disorder Counselor will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The counselor will work with clients to develop treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, and monitor progress towards recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments to determine client needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Requirements
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field
- State licensure as a professional counselor or social worker
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands
The PT Substance Use Disorder Counselor may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and may need to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
The PT Substance Use Disorder Counselor will work in a healthcare setting and may be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
