Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a skilled intermediate-level Data Engineer to work remotely in Vancouver Canada for a large AAA game employer on a 6-month contract with possibility of extension or conversion. You will be assisting the Data and Analytics department as they partner with the Marketing team to understand how players are behaving in games, marketing campaign reach, return on investment (ROI) of marketing campaigns, and how marketing pursuits are translating into sales. Your day to day will be building data pipelines that support these various marketing initiatives. A large focus will be on migrating from RedShift into Snowflake, including building pipelines to move data, and ETLing data into Snowflake. In addition, you will help with other ongoing work to enhance and improve marketing analytics such as sourcing, loading, implementing, and building new pipelines end to end.

Skills and Requirements

- 3+ years experience working with SQL querying for cloud data warehousing solutions

- 3+ years experience programming in Python language to extract data and put into the warehouse

- 3+ years experience with Airflow

- Experience with one of the cloud data warehouses RedShift, BigQuery or Snowflake

- Some experience with APIs, preferably third-party such as social media

- Self-sufficient, independent worker, great communicator, quick learner - DBT experience for database management null
