Posting Summary

Provide expertise in the identification, collection, review, and reporting of data. Present large amounts of information in ways that are universally understandable or easy to interpret drawing on statistical knowledge to identify patterns, trends, and correlations. Identify trends and use creativity to transform data into creative infographics, graphs, charts or other pictorial diagrams and various reports to all levels of Cancer Center leadership. In partnership with the Executive Director of Administration, align UVM Cancer Center ( UVMCC ) data collection and reporting with the expectations of the National Cancer Institute and the UVMCC strategic plan. Produce reports for various audiences including senior leadership at UVM , the UVM Health Network and community and government partners as well as external advisory board and other funding stakeholders. Utilize information to influence and evaluate progress toward strategic goals. Apply analytical processes, recommend digital platforms, and inform leadership of Cancer-related industry best practices. Responsible for assessing, coordinating, tracking, and harmonizing existing data collections.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in a related to specialized field and five to six year’s related experience. Experience working with complex datasets, and across teams in a multi-site environment. Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to translate large amounts of information and see the bigger picture. Ability to work independently and assume ownership for body of work including multiple concurrent, inter-related projects. Experience partnering with all levels of executives, administrators, researchers, and technical staff. Ability to learn new tools and utilities rapidly. Experience using data reporting and visualization tools.

Desirable Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field and previous experience working in a Cancer Center is preferred.

Anticipated Pay Range $80,000 to $90, 000/year. Actual hiring pay dependent on comparable campus peer(s) at time of hire, and candidate’s experience level and length.

Other Information

Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, This position is eligible for full-time telework in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
