Posting Summary

Oversee the administration of student financial services support for specialized University programs, ensuring accurate and timely implementation. Serve as primary liaison with University departments and academic leaders to ensure that program specifics are developed, agreements are executed, and systems and processes are adjusted to properly manage all aspects of student finance activities in compliance with various policies and regulatory requirements. Serve as lead coordinator for special program administration, including identification of issues, recommending, evaluating and implementing solutions. Supervise a team of individuals in performing key functions in support of the Universities financial aid and receivables administration. Serve as back up for the Associate Director for Administration and Receivables.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or finance-related field and four years related experience to include supervisory and training experience; strong analytical skills required. Experience in higher education finance, financial aid, bursar’s functions required. Effective technical skills, and experience working with Banner highly desirable. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate complex issues in an effective manner. Ability to function in fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational capabilities. Strong desktop and office automation skills required.

Desirable Qualifications

Anticipated Pay Range Up to $63,000

Other Information

Special Conditions Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Open to current UVM employees only , This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy
