Eaton is looking for a Human Resources Manager – Commercial Team in Burlington, ON
This position will lead the Human Resources function for the Commercial (Marketing, EatonCare and Sales) teams with multiple sites across Canada. This role is responsible for establishing solid business partnerships while leading the function to drive performance of the business. Develop and implement Human Resources strategies, programs, policies and initiatives aligned with short and long-term business objectives. Foster a culture in the organization that promotes employee engagement and a passion for excellence in all areas of the business. Reports directly to the Director, HR and functionally to the VP, Sales and Marketing Director.
Partner with division leadership, functional leaders and site managers to drive change, aligning human resources programs and initiatives with strategic objectives and annual business goals.
Drive unified plans with measurable objectives that support business, financial and employee engagement goals.
Champion HR functional excellence through deployment of Eaton programs, ensuring quality of process and content and alignment with the EBS to achieve goals and objectives.
Ensure that knowledge retention and sharing mechanisms are developed, continuously improved and sustained.
Develop, optimize, document and standardize sustainable processes, sharing best practices across the division and larger organization.
Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management, employee development, succession planning and retention.
Manage and develop employee compensation/reward and recognition programs, driving pay-for-performance culture aligned with business objectives.
Drive positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees.
Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g. the employee survey) to determine organizational issues and action plans.
Provide leadership guidance, coaching and mentoring. Develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by leading/coaching others through change.
Drive transformational change and foster a culture where continuous learning, ownership and accountability thrive.
Focus on health and safety to ensure it is embraced by all employees. Utilize MESH and functional resources to ensure compliance with all safety requirements and drive a zero incident culture.
Understand factors occurring outside Eaton to remain current with what is happening in the external environment. Develop the skills in keeping abreast of changes and the external business environment to drive successful human capital strategy.
Exemplify and lead Eaton Values, Ethics, and be a steward of the Eaton Leadership Model.

Work Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 7 years of increasing responsibility in a progressive HR environment
Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
No relocation benefit will be provided. All candidates must live within an 80 km radius of Burlington, ON to be considered.
Masters Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or Industrial & Labour Relations
Experience working with sales compensation plans.
Demonstrated cultural and transformational change capabilities
Strong knowledge of Eaton Business System preferred
Sound working knowledge of relevant provincial employment laws
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent facilitation/coaching skills. Strong employee relations skills with the proven ability to successfully drive change and leadership ownership/accountability
Strong drive for results and sense of urgency. Strong project management skills with ability to lead a cross-functional business team
Commitment to employee engagement and continuous improvement
Great organizational skills and demonstrated ability to get results
Ability to work in a matrixed environment
Demonstrated strong analytical skills including ability to understand, analyze and utilize data to drive solutions
Proficient in Microsoft Office
