Facebook Director, Product Marketing, AR Portfolio in Burlingame, California

Summary:

In Facebook Reality Labs, we're building devices and experiences that make people feel closer. This includes Oculus, Portal, and Augmented Reality (AR) products, as well as research and development labs.

We’re looking for an experienced Product Marketing Director to lead a team of product marketers and managers for Facebook Reality Lab’s AR portfolio, including mobile AR and future AR glasses. This leader would be responsible for customer-centric business decision-making across functions, working closely with Product (PM, Engineering, Design) as well as Product Operations (Analytics, Growth, Marketing, Sales, PR, Partnerships, Legal, Privacy, Policy, and Finance).

Required Skills:

  1. Manage and support a team of 15+ product marketers, including people managers, ensuring alignment between individual’s strengths and business needs

  2. Partner with product leadership to influence product and business strategy with a view of customer needs and market opportunities

  3. Work across business functions to lead a global go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the AR portfolio, including new product introduction and in-market growth across hardware and software products

  4. Model inclusive behaviors and build a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives

  5. Consistently build strong internal partnerships, influence through others, resolve conflict, build alignment, and work effectively across teams to execute strategy

  6. Proactively detect the largest problems impacting the team's execution and make decisions that manage dependencies

  7. Understands organizational health, can articulate an organizational vision, and can effectively diagnose and make recommendations to solve complex issues that may span multiple teams (including decisions around resource prioritization, top-level goal alignment, and balancing impact with team longevity)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 15 or more years of experience with consumer products or product marketing

  2. 10 or more years of experience with team leadership, people management, cross-functional team leadership, or leadership

  3. Track record of building partnerships with Product Management and cross-functional teams, and shaping multi-year product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies

  4. Leadership experience in a global role and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes

  5. Experience owning and overseeing multiple portfolio areas and marketing vision while creating buy-in and enthusiasm from peers, individual contributors, and other leaders

  6. Experience influencing and leading strategies across multiple lines of business and matrixed teams

  7. Experience identifying and analyzing complex, long term, critical problems facing the relevant areas of the business and drove solutions for them

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience launching a consumer hardware product
